Klamath Falls Elks Lodge #1247 has been a gathering place for people who believe that giving back is not optional. Chartered members here have raised money for local youth programs, supported veterans, and kept the kind of civic pride alive that you can actually feel when you walk through the door. The lodge sits at 601 Main St, a central address that reflects its central role in the community.

The building itself does double duty. The Sons of Norway now hold their chapter meetings here, bringing a second layer of cultural tradition to the same rooms. There's a bar where conversations stretch long after the agenda wraps up, a screening space for movies and events, and downstairs a separate tenant keeps things lively with food and drinks. Members consistently describe the space as clean, organized, and easy to navigate, which matters when you're hosting everything from committee meetings to social nights.

Elks lodges across the country operate on a simple premise: charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity. Lodge #1247 carries that mission forward in Klamath Falls, a high-desert city where community institutions carry real weight. If you've been thinking about joining, or you're an Elks member visiting from out of town, the door is open.

What We Offer

The lodge offers members a full calendar of activities anchored by the Elks national mission of community service and charitable giving. Local youth scholarship programs, holiday food drives, and veteran support initiatives are the backbone of the annual schedule, with committees forming around each effort so that members can plug in where their time and skills fit best.

Beyond the service work, the facility itself is a genuine amenity. The bar and lounge area gives members a comfortable place to unwind, catch a game, or simply stay connected with neighbors they might not otherwise see. The movie and event room handles everything from lodge business meetings to social screenings. The building also accommodates outside civic groups, as the Sons of Norway chapter demonstrates, making it a flexible community hub rather than a single-purpose hall.

Membership in the Elks opens doors at lodges nationwide, so traveling members are always welcome to stop in, sign the guest book, and enjoy the hospitality that the order is known for.

"While this isn't the Elks Lodge and hasn't been for 15-20 years... Google needs to update there info! It's called El Palacios Mexican Restaurant. Food was good, beverages were spot on, and service was equally good too. No complaints. When you get chips, you get fresh chunky salsa and beans to dip them in. Way better option than Los Potrillos or Mazatlan Grille... why is that?"

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
